Piracy

It's really sad to have to deal with piracy for such a niche production, but it's the unfortunate reality. Even quite close to release, I've had to deal with people making and selling unlicensed reproduction carts. Their prices are usually not even much lower than mine, but I can assure you the effort is - none of them come with the foam-lined box or instruction/credits slip that mine come with, none have the painstakingly modelled, resin-printed cartridge shell, none have the period-accurate cartridge label (with some modern nods).

Apparently it needs saying: downloading the ROM file does *not* grant you the right to reproduce physical copies, even if you're doing it for free. Doing so  does harm to me and to the community, discouraging further development of games. As it is, I'm going to have to look at basic copy protection for any future releases, and that's incredibly tedious. So, to the pirates, thanks for that.

Physical copies are still available and I'll be putting them on eBay soon to make it more easily ordered. Once they're sold, I may do another run of either just carts or boxed copies if there's enough interest. For what it's worth, I need about 10 people to be interested in boxed copies to do a run and  around 3 people to do cart-only copies.

To those who have bought physical copies, donated for digital copies and downloaded for free but haven't pirated it - thank you! This did better than I expected it would and though having to deal with piracy isn't fun, I'm still looking forward to producing something bigger and better in the future - stay tuned!

You are absolutely right, downloading does not give you the right to reproduce and especially to sell. Courage to you.
